Colorful sights and a winter wonderland

The holidays wouldn't be complete without my sister's yummy sweets and snow outside. One of my favorite times of the year for taking photographs is the Christmas holiday season. It's so colorful inside and the snow outside is best when it's freshly fallen.

Missing the ones we love who helped create many fond memories

There are angels among us

There are angels among us
One of my favorite subjects to photograph is cemeteries. I love the stone carvings, the muted gray colors of the headstones and the connection to long lost lives. On a cemetery headstone you read names of people you knew, people you never met and people you've heard of but never met. When a headstone is preserved in a photograph it's almost like preserving that person for all eternity. This beautiful grave stone is in our town cemetery. It was photographed May 25, 2009 during a Memorial Day ceremony.
